Data & account deletion

Data Deletion · Social Media Director — Virtual Director Kft.

The User may request the deletion of their account and processed data at any time. Below we explain how, and what happens to each type of data.

1. Disconnecting a single channel

On the application’s “Channels” screen the User can disconnect any connected Facebook Page, Instagram account or LinkedIn Page. On disconnection, the access token stored for that channel is deleted immediately, and the system no longer has access to that social account. The same can be achieved by revoking access at Meta (Settings → Business Integrations) or at LinkedIn (Settings → Data Privacy → Permitted Services).

2. Deleting the entire account and data

The User may initiate full deletion of the account:

Deletion covers the following data: account and user data, connected social account data and access tokens, drafts and scheduled posts, uploaded and AI-generated images (R2), and stored performance analytics. The Service Provider fulfils the request without undue delay, at the latest within 30 days.

Data required by accounting legislation (issued invoices, payment history) must be retained by the Service Provider after deletion for the mandatory retention period (8 years); these are deleted automatically when the obligation expires.

3. Meta Data Deletion Request

If the User revokes Social Media Director’s access on Facebook/Instagram, Meta may send a data-deletion signal to the Service Provider. As a result, the Service Provider deletes the data originating from the Meta platform that belongs to that user (access tokens, connected account data). A deletion request may also be submitted directly at the e-mail address above.
